OPEN BursarIES
$800
THIS GRANT IS OPEN
Open Now | Ongoing
In response to rising interest rates, inflation and increasing cost of living pressures, the Mac.Rob Foundation has introduced a new Open Bursary to support families experiencing financial hardship.
We know that financial challenges can come up at any time during the school year, and we want to help make sure you can access what you need for your education and participate fully in school life, regardless of your family's circumstances.
The Open Bursary is available to eligible students in Years 9-12 throughout the year, allowing applications to be made whenever genuine financial need arises. Applications are assessed as received, with bursaries awarded for amounts up to a maximum of $800.
What the Open Bursary can support:
The Open Bursary is designed to help with essential expenses directly related to school or to support your participation in school-endorsed activities. This could include:
Purchase of uniform, laptop, textbooks, or specialist resources for a subject (e.g. expensive printing for an art/technology folio)
School-related enrichment activities, such as representing Mac.Rob in team-based finals that require travel
Attendance at Year 12 Formal, Graduation, or purchase of Year Book
Mac.Rob instrumental music lessons or ensemble participation
Attendance at school camps
Other school-related activities or needs.
How to apply:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and are assessed as they're received. If you're experiencing genuine financial hardship that's preventing you from accessing educational necessities or participating in school life, we encourage you to apply.
Important: Please use your personal email or a Gmail account for your application. Mac.Rob student email accounts don't work with the application system.
The form attached to this submission is a Google Form. Please let us know if you are having difficulty accessing it. If possible, please your personal email or a Gmail account to access the form and not your student email account. If you have problems, please email us.
