Jacqui grew up in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs and is proud of her multicultural family background. Her mother was also a MacRob student in the early 1950s.

Jacqui is a passionate sportswoman, who grew into an accomplished coach and sports administrator. Her early career focused on recreation and sports management, particularly in creating opportunities for the disadvantaged and socially isolated to access the benefits of sport and recreation. Jacqui has been a Non-Executive Director and President of Gymnastics Australia, a member of the Federation of International Gymnastics Council and a President (2016-2020) and Vice President (2020-2024) of the Federation of International Gymnastics Gender Equality Commission.

She became a Chief Executive Officer at the age of 46 and has held the following roles: CEO Greater Dandenong City Council 2022-present, CEO City of Stonnington 2019-2022 and CEO Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust 2012-2019. Jacqui has 20+ years of experience at a senior executive level with not-for-profits, local government and the broader public sector. Jacqui is an energetic and visionary public sector leader with a passion for positively influencing organisational leadership, culture and change.

In addition to her paid employment, Jacqui has also been a Non-Executive Director and Chair of many not-for-profit boards in the areas of and including sport, healthcare, community development, professional associations, the arts, charitable organisations, government regional committees and reference panels. 

A passionate advocate for gender equality and diversity, Jacqui has been a coach, mentor and sponsor of aspiring leaders with a particular interest in creating room at the top of organisations for those who are underrepresented. 

Despite enduring the recent loss of her beloved husband Simon, Jacqui remains deeply engaged in her professional and personal pursuits. She continues to reside in Melbourne, with a fondness for the Mornington Peninsula. Family is a central focus for her, with two adult children, two adult stepchildren, and a grandchild on the way bringing joy to her life. In her leisure time, she finds solace in activities such as bushwalking, ocean swimming, yoga, and indulging in cultural experiences including opera and ballet. Her love for travel and gourmet food further enriches her vibrant lifestyle.
