This scholarship acknowledges academic distinction through financial support for young women and gender diverse young people to undertake professional activities associated with undergraduate and/or postgraduate studies at globally-recognised Australian institutions. It is open to young women and gender diverse young people aged 30 and younger.
NOTE: Scholarship funds cannot be used to study overseas.

Receiving this grant means more than financial support - it gives me the opportunity to take my research beyond the laboratory and engage with the broader scientific community. As an MD-PhD student developing new treatments for stroke, attending international conferences allows me to present my work, learn from leaders in the field, receive valuable feedback, and build connections that can shape the future direction of my research.
This support makes an opportunity that would otherwise be difficult to access financially possible. I am incredibly grateful to the donors whose generosity enables students like me to pursue opportunities that broaden our education and development. Their support not only invests in my journey as an emerging clinician-scientist, but also in the potential for my research to ultimately translate into better treatments and outcomes for patients.
