nurturing creative talents
Anna bradubury little arts scholarship, 2025
(L-R): Yuyang (Kaly) Guo and Riitta Ruan with School Principal Sue Harrap
We're thrilled to announce this year's recipients of our Anna Bradbury Little Arts Scholarship, celebrating four talented students who are making their mark in the creative world. The scholarship supports Year 10-12 students who bring exceptional passion and skill to their artistic pursuits.
visual arts stars
Diya Das and Naveli Mehta were awarded Visual Arts scholarships thanks to their remarkable talents and artistic vision.
For Diya, the recognition goes beyond financial support.
“Receiving this art scholarship has truly validated my passion and potential as an artist. It's opened up so many opportunities I never thought possible and has given me the confidence to keep pursuing what I love.”
Naveli sees the scholarship as a gateway to new creative horizons.
“I feel incredibly grateful and truly honoured to receive this scholarship. It will give me the opportunity to pursue my artistic passions in unimaginable ways, without the weight of financial constraints. This scholarship will propel my journey to new, transformative levels.”
Musical Talents
On the musical front, violinists Riitta Ruan and Yuyang (Kaly) Guo impressed the selection committee with both their technical abilities and ambitious goals.
Riitta, who dreams of performing with renowned quartets and symphony orchestras, says the scholarship “means the absolute world to me!”
“As a violinist who aspires to pursue a professional music career through renowned quartets and symphony orchestras, the Anna Bradbury Little Scholarship will allow me to grow not just as a soloist, but as a chamber musician. It has opened so many doors, including regular lessons with piano accompaniment, which will challenge and enhance my listening, collaborative skills and musicality. It will also allow me to enter prestigious competitions – some of which I've already registered and auditioned for. I'm so excited to see where I will be heading in the future!”
Kaly's plans for the scholarship are equally inspiring.
“This bursary will significantly enhance my musical development by giving me access to higher-quality resources and opportunities that would otherwise be beyond my reach.”
Anna's Legacy Lives On
Each recipient receives $1,500 to nurture their creative development, continuing the legacy of Anna Bradbury Little, a talented Mac.Rob alumna and gifted artist. Now in its fourth year, the scholarship program was created to honour Anna's memory by supporting students who embody her creative spirit and dedication.
While this year's recipients were recognised in Visual and Music Arts, the scholarship program also includes categories for Written Arts and Dramatic Arts.
As these four talented young artists continue their creative journeys with the Foundation's support, they carry forward not just financial assistance, but the inspiring legacy of a woman whose passion for art continues to make a difference in the Mac.Rob community.
